Zara sweater / Urban Outfitters buttondown / Forever21 jeans / Deena and Ozzy boots
I don’t shop very often at Zara. It’s not because I don’t like it, though they don’t hit always the mark for me, it’s just that they’re so expensive.
I know, I know. Zara is supposed to be fast fashion and it’s a staple for a lot of people – but I just can’t spend $100 on a pair of jeans that might be out of style in a season. Which means I do love Zara’s seasonal sales – it makes their trendy pieces slightly more accessible and their trend-forward pieces less of risk to test drive. I usually go for their shoes and outerwear which seem to serve my style best and this pile-lined knit sweater/coat is no exception.
I’ve been searching for something with the oversized cut and drape this piece has and I knew from the second I tried it on it was exactly what I was looking for. It dresses up jeans and tees and looks great paired with short dresses and it’s warm enough to make it possible to wear sleeveless tops in February.
I chose to keep the focus here on the coat itself and paired with an oversized button down – even mixing two oversized silhouettes seems to work here – and basic skinny jeans. I’m sure you’ll be seeing it continue to make appearances as I wear the crap out of it.
